Lokk Salon – brain child of curly hair specialist Tamara Rickard is a curly hair salon based in Townsville, North QLD. We embrace the natural textures in waves and curls.
We use a technique cutting curl by curl to ensure each curl maintains its natural structure, this not only making sure you get the perfect result but it allows us to work with each individual curl type.
During your visit you’ll have access to our knowledge and experience and you’ll go away with a full break down on how to best look after your curls which includes hydration, strengthening and styling.

Hi! I’m Tamara
I’m Townsville born and bread with over 20 years experience in the industry. For the last 12 years I have lived in Melbourne, Sydney and New Zealand and in all that time learnt from incredibly talented curl specialists how to cut and style curly hair.
Out of the things I’ve noticed over the years is that knowing how to cut and style curly hair properly is a rare talent when it comes to hairdressers.
After being introduced to the curly girl method and seeing the amazing results it had on curly hair it instantly sparked my passion to make this my specialty.
